Mr. Birtcher co-chairs the Executive Management, Strategic Planning, Audit and Investment Committees and oversees strategic expansion of Birtcher Anderson & Davis management platform. Mr. Birtcher has over 57 years of experience across a wide array of disciplines in commercial real estate including development, acquisitions, financing and asset and property management.
Over his career, he has purchased and developed more than $4 billion of commercial real estate through public and private offerings, including roughly 60 million square feet of commercial real estate globally. He has also developed more than 100 residential projects totaling 12,000 units. The Birtcher family real estate business was established in 1939 and has grown to be a recognized name in commercial real estate in Southern California. Mr. Birtcher joined the family-run business in 1961, and Mr. Birtcher has evolved into a community leader in the region. Mr. Birtcher has been responsible for managing and developing numerous Birtcher platforms with core emphasis on development, construction management, investment management, property management and financing. He spearheaded Birtcher’s international expansion by opening investment and development offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Beijing.
Mr. Birtcher has served on the governing boards of many organizations, including the University of San Diego, Mission Regional Medical Center, Diocese of Orange Construction and Land Advisory, Orange County’s American Red Cross and the United Way. Mr. Birtcher has received numerous awards, including NAIOP Real Estate Man of the Year U.S. Developer of the Year, the Huntington Disease Society of America’s Distinguished Leadership Award, and the Bishop Tod D. Brown Award for Exemplary Business Integrity.
Mr. Birtcher is a former member and director of the American Business Conference, he is a Knight of St. Gregory, a Knight of Malta, a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher and a Steward of St. Peter Papal Foundation.

Robert M. Anderson, Co-Chairman and Principal of Birtcher Anderson & Davis. Mr. Anderson also serves Mr. Anderson co-chairs the Executive Management, Strategic Planning, Audit and Investment Committees. He is responsible for the strategic oversight of the company’s investment management platform. In this capacity, Mr. Anderson oversees the firm’s investment strategy and asset management.
During Mr. Anderson’s 45 year career, he has worked for firms including The Irvine Company and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (KPMG). He has been involved with more than $2 billion of acquisitions, dispositions and financings throughout the United States in all major product types, including the facilitation of over $300 million of direct investment advisory on behalf of domestic and offshore private investors. Mr. Anderson joined the Birtcher family of companies in 1988. Since 1992, he has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Birtcher Anderson Properties, Inc. (“Birtcher Corp”), managing the growth of Birtcher Corp’s asset and property management portfolio to as much as 20 million square feet of space. Mr. Anderson has directed Birtcher Corp’s investment in over $1.3 billion of real estate since 1999.
Mr. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Accounting from Augustana College and has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Anderson is a Knight of Order of Malta and a founder of Cristo Rey Orange County High School, and serves as a Trustee of Augustana College.

Robert J. Thiergartner is a Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Bircher Anderson & Davis, where he serves on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee and leads the development platform.
In his more than 40 years of industry experience, Mr. Thiergartner emphasizes cultivating long-term relationships with institutional and private clients and investors from across the real estate spectrum while never losing sight of his commitment to accountability and clear judgment. Mr. Thiergartner has been instrumental in developing and investing in business parks and industrial and office properties. After becoming the owner of Davis Partners, Bob combined Davis Partners’ full-service operating business with Birtcher Anderson to form Birtcher Anderson & Davis.
Mr. Thiergartner joined Davis Partners after graduating from college and working at Arthur Andersen & Co. During Mr. Thiergartner’s career, he also completed the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
In addition to his work at Birtcher Anderson & Davis, Mr. Thiergartner has taken on leadership roles that draw deeply from his love of business, philanthropy, and education. He is a past Chairman of the Orange County Boy Scouts of America; served on the board of Christ Catholic Cathedral Corporation and was a member of the Architecture and Renovation Committee; a former President of Legatus International Orange Coast Chapter; and served as a Chairman of the ULI Small Scale Development Council Blue Flight and a Council Counselor for the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Thiergartner is a former member of the Consultative School Board of Santa Margarita Catholic High School and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Orange County. Additionally, Mr. Thiergartner is a long-time Director of Caritas Corporation, a non-profit specializing in affordable housing throughout California.

Daniel W. Karcher serves as President of Birtcher Anderson & Davis Associates, where he oversees the firm’s property management, development, construction management, and operational services. He also sits on the firm’s Investment Committee.
Since joining Davis Partners in 2007, and through the merger of Birtcher Anderson & Davis Partners in 2020, Daniel has played an integral role in the growth and evolution of the organization, leading development projects, asset repositioning initiatives, acquisitions, capital improvement programs, and complex tenant improvement assignments across a diverse portfolio of industrial, office, retail, and residential properties. Throughout his career, he has managed more than $200 million in development, redevelopment, renovation, and construction projects.
As President, Daniel provides executive oversight of the company’s accounting, ground up development, property management, compliance, technology, and operational functions while working closely with owners, investors, lenders, municipalities, and strategic partners to maximize asset performance and long-term value creation.
Daniel also leads BA&D’s Residential Management Division, which has expanded significantly in recent years and now includes a growing portfolio of mobile home communities and affordable housing assets. He has been instrumental in implementing technology-driven operating platforms, resident engagement systems, and scalable management processes designed to enhance customer service, financial transparency, and operational efficiency.
His professional experience spans asset management, acquisitions, development management, construction management, due diligence, entitlements, strategic planning, and property management. Daniel is known for combining an owner’s perspective with disciplined operational execution and a strong focus on accountability, service, and results.
Daniel remains active in the real estate and nonprofit communities. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the NAIOP Young Professionals Group and currently serves on multiple committees for Casa Teresa, an Orange County based non-profit organization. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Information Systems and Quantitative Management from Loyola Marymount University.

LEED Green Associate, Chief Operating Officer of Birtcher Anderson & Davis overseeing leasing, property management, asset management, accounting on a portfolio of office and industrial properties. Mrs. Rodarte has over 30 years of real estate experience inclusive of commercial and multi-family residential property management, construction, and development; country club/golf course and hotel management activities. Mrs. Rodarte has worked at the Birtcher family of companies for over 20 years serving as Assistant Controller, Vice President Human Resources, Vice President Finance & Administration, and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Birtcher Anderson, Rodarte worked at Chevron Land & Development Company as Finance Manager and was the Human Resource Manager for non-Chevron employees (average headcount 500+); ValueRock Realty Partners, Inc./Faris Lee Investments as Chief Accounting Officer; and Stream Realty as Senior Vice President Property Management. Mrs. Rodarte earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources/Management from the University of Houston; pursued graduate studies at the University of Houston and Pepperdine University. Mrs. Rodarte served as the President, President-Elect, and Treasurer of the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; SPIRE Award Committee Member-Commercial Real Estate Women-Orange County (CREW); member of Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM); Lifetime Member of the University of Houston Alumni Organization. She actively supports the Mission San Juan Capistrano and volunteers for Homefront America, Inc.
